Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday met German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the two discussed regional security and peace. The German foreign minister also acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution in war against terrorism.
He said that Germany understands challenges being faced by Pakistan. Minister Walter also assured his country’s full support to Pakistan for bringing peace and stability in the region.
Later, General Sharif held an interactive session at Körber Foundation, a think-tank in Berlin, where he discussed environment and security issues with German officials.
He explained in detail the challenges faced by Pakistan and the country’s contribution towards peace and stability in the region. He also discussed Zarb-e-Azb military operation with the German officials.
